AMD's RX 9070 GRE was a China only card until now. It has gone global with a $549 launch price, landing right between the 9060 XT and the 9070 XT. It is the card going into our upcoming Newegg exclusive Special Build, so keep an eye on the shop.
AI data centres are buying up the world's DRAM, and graphics memory got caught in it. VRAM is now over 80 percent of what it costs to build a high end card, so prices have followed. AMD's RX 9000 cards have held up better than NVIDIA's RTX 50 series because they use GDDR6 instead of the pricier GDDR7, which is part of why so many of our builds run Radeon.
